SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK Lewis senior Mary Jaszczak picked up two victories and recorded a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings of action to earn Pitcher of the Week honors in the GLVC. Jaszczak held the No. 1- hitting team in the GLVC, Quincy (.295), and No. 4 UWP (.278) to just six hits in 46 at bats (.130 avg.) with 10 strikeouts and one walk. She threw a four-hit 5-0 shutout against UWP and a two-hitter against Quincy, winning 8-1. Jaszczak is a psychology major from Shorewood, Illinois. SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK UM-St. Louis freshman catcher Lisa Neukrich hit .478 (11-23) and led her team to a 5-1 week to earn Co-Player of the Week honors in the GLVC. Neukrich compiled a slugging percentage of .652 while collecting four doubles, three runs scored and seven RBI. She was 4-4 in an 8-0 victory over Lincoln with two RBI and was 4-8 in a doubleheader against Kentucky Wesleyan. She is from St. Louis, Missouri. Lewis junior third baseman Amy Roberts hit. 625 with five RBI leading the Flyers to a perfect 4-0 week and earn Co-Player of the Week honors in the GLVC. Roberts delivered the eventual game-winning hit with a two-out double against UW-Parkside, then drove a run against Quincy with a suicide squeeze in the first inning. She also stole four bases in the four games. Roberts is a sports management major from Escanaba, Michigan.
