EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Mark Grundman as the men’s golf head coach. Grundman becomes fifth head coach in the history of the program.

INDIANAPOLIS – University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Andy Hansen (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s October Golfer of the Month. Hansen, a junior for the Rangers, posted a pair of strong showings during the month.

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. - Rockhurst's Clarke Fry posted an 11-under-par 205 at the Missouri Intercollegiate on Tuesday and Wednesday to claim medalist honors at the 79-player event hosted at The Club at Porta Cima. Fry won the event by six strokes and helped the Hawks to a fifth-place team finish.

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.- University of Indianapolis senior Seth Fair won the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to top the field at the sixth-annual Kiawah Island Invitational Tuesday.  In the team’s first action of the year, Fair paced a UIndy squad that shot +13 for the tournament, good for fifth among the competing 15 teams.

INDIANAPOLIS- Incoming UIndy sophomore Aaron Monson (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) ripped off a near-course-record 63 at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course Friday to take the 2009 PGA Indiana Open.  Down seven shots after three rounds, Monson’s final-day performance put him at 15-under for the tournament, making him just the second amateur since 1970 to win the Open title.
