GLVC Announces 2010 All-GLVC Men's Golf Team
INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis senior Seth Fair (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) has been named the 2010 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Golfer of the Year. Fair headlines the 2010 All-GLVC Men’s Golf Team finalized by the league’s coaches on Friday.
Fair, in 30 rounds during the regular season, posted a 72.3 scoring average and finished in the top five in seven of the 12 events in which he competed. Included in his top-five finishes were a win at The Jewell, a runner-up finish at the Butler Invite and a third-place finish at the D2 Preview and GLVC Championships.
In head-to-head competition with GLVC opponents, Fair was 261-12 and he helped the Greyhounds to a runner-up finish at the GLVC Championships. In addition, Fair has been named a Byron Nelson Award Finalist and most recently earned a spot in the NCAA D-II National Championships as an individual competitor.
Fair is one of ten All-GLVC selections this season. He was joined as an All-GLVC honoree by four other golfers following the completion of the GLVC tournament. Those four included Drury’s Kyle Martin and Andrew Funk, Northern Kentucky’s Danny Lewis and Rockhurst’s Clarke Fry.
Five additional All-GLVC members have been selected by a vote of the league’s 14 head coaches. Those honorees include Drury’s Thomas Hay, Lewis’ Casey Pyne, Missouri-St. Louis’ Matt Rau, UIndy’s Aaron Monson and UW-Parkside’s Andy Hansen.
