Drury's Lamberson Named GLVC Women's Golfer of the Month

INDIANAPOLIS – Drury University sophomore Morgan Lamberson (Marshall, Mo./Marshall) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Golfer of the Month for October. Lamberson posted a 77.4 scoring average during the month to lead the Panthers at two events.

At the University of Central Oklahoma Classic on Oct. 2-4, Lamberson tied for 11th place as she posted a 74-74--148. The showing at the par-70 Lincoln Park East Golf Course enabled the Panthers to a fifth-place team finish. Drury ended with a two-day score of 294-304--599.

Lamberson returned on Oct. 17-18 at the Missouri State University/Payne Stewart Memorial to finish tied for 27th. She posted a three-round total of 239 by firing rounds of 77, 82 and 80. Drury finished in fifth place as a team in a Division I field at Rivercut Golf Course with a total of 309-319-323--951.

On the year, Lamberson has maintained a 77.5 scoring average through 11 rounds. She has posted three top-ten finishes and placed in the top 20 in four of the five events in the fall.
