HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- It took penalty kicks, but #4 Quincy advanced past Northern Kentucky in the GLVC Women's Soccer Championship semifinal at the NKU Soccer Stadium Friday night to earn a spot in the 2011 GLVC Women's Soccer Championship match.

Top-seeded #10 Northern Kentucky and the tournament four-seed Quincy fought through 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, with both teams providing stingy defenses that turned away a total of 32 shots though regulation and the two overtime periods.

Quincy (15-4-1) fired off 19 shots, 11 on goal in the match, with the Norse tallying 13 shots, three on goal. The Norse netminder, Cassie Lingenhoel, made 11 saves though the first 110 minutes of play, with All-GLVC first team keeper Jodi Chapie of Quincy making three saves. Kristine Vogt's four shots led the Lady Hawks, while Northern Kentucky (15-1-2) was led by three shots each from Amanda Mason and Kelsey Zwergel.

In a penalty kick round, Chapie was the first to make a save, on the second attempt by the Norse, from Laura Painter. The lone save of the round was enough to advance the Lady Hawks.
