SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Lewis claimed the 2011 GLVC Men's Golf Championship with a 36-hole total of 584 (291-293) Monday at the 54-hole event held at the par-72 Panther Creek Country Club. The Flyers defeated defending champion Northern Kentucky by seven strokes.

The Flyers were led by Casey Pyne (71-71), who is tied for second place with a two-under 143, and Logan Watts (69-74), who is in fourth place with a score of 143.

Northern Kentucky (296-295) finished in second place with a total of 591 and held a one-stoke advantage over Drury (70-72).

Wisconsin-Parkside's Andrew Troyanek earned medalist honors as he posted a three-under 141. Troyanek opened the event with a 68 and finished his final round with a one-over 73.

The GLVC Men's Golf Championship, scheduled as a 54-hole event, was shortened to 36 holes as weather conditiions for Tuesday's final round made the course unplayable.
