INDIANAPOLIS – UW-Parkside senior forward Brittany Beyer (New London, WI/New London) has been tabbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Beyer helped lead the Rangers to an undefeated week in conference divisional play posting wins against Indianapolis and Saint Joseph’s.

Beyer posted impressive numbers on the week, averaging 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game to put the Rangers on a two game win streak and improve their overall record to 15-4.

Beyer started off the week putting up a game-high 21 points in 10-for-17 (58.8%) shooting in the Rangers 75-71 win over visiting Saint Joseph’s on Thursday. Beyer topped off the night by adding six rebounds, and three assists to her totals.
Beyer returned Saturday evening for a showdown with divisional leader Indianapolis where she continued her impressive shooting with 22 points including a perfect 6-for-6 performance from the free-throw line. Beyer proved tough under pressure as she contributed eight of those points in the final minutes of the game. Beyer also gathered eight rebounds and contributed two assists to collect a 73-70 road win against the tough Indianapolis squad.
Beyer and the UW-Parkside Rangers (15-4, 8-3 GLVC) will return to conference action on Thursday night when they take on Bellarmine at home.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Missouri S&T’s Hailee Parks, Quincy’s Ali Schwagmeyer, Northern Kentucky’s Maria Bennett, Bellarmine’s Therese Montano, Saint Joseph’s Breanna Birmingham, Lewis’ Jess Reinhart, and Indianapolis’ Kristin Turner.
