INDIANAPOLIS – Three Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s soccer standouts have been voted to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II All-America Team. Bellarmine University, Quincy University and Truman State University each were recognized with one honoree.

Bellarmine’s Mary Beth Gorham was the lone player named to the First Team, while Quincy’s Ashley Burton was a second-team selection, and Truman State’s Heffernan garnered third-team laurels.

Gorham is the 18th first-team honoree from the league, Burton becomes the 20th second-team pick and Heffernan is the 12th on the Third Team. Overall, the GLVC now boasts 49 NSCAA All-Americans in women’s soccer, including three other selections last year.

All-Americans and their accomplishments will be celebrated and recognized at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon held during the 2016 NSCAA Convention in Baltimore on Saturday, Jan. 16, starting at noon.
