GLVC Women's Basketball teams started the season last week with a winning record at 16-12, the majority of those victories coming against regional opponents in the GLIAC, including Truman State's 74-69 win over No. 13 Grand Valley State. In addition to an overall winning weekend, six teams went undefeated that included four teams at 2-0: Bellarmine, Drury, Indianapolis and Rockhurst. Maryville and Southern Indiana won their season opener to start 1-0.
William Jewell will be looking to create the same success as it opens the season this week in South Dakota against Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls (SD).
More regional games are on the docket this week, as well, with Saint Joseph's and UW-Parkside hosting Hillsdale, Southern Indiana at Wayne State, Lewis at Alderson Broaddus, Saint Jospeh's at Lake Erie, UIndy at Ashland, Lewis at Davis & Elkins and Bellarmine hosting Ohio Dominican.
Highlighting the second week are a few contests against top-25 teams, including Maryville and Quincy's matchup against No. 16 Winona State and UIndy's test at No. 5 Ashland.
