GLVC women's basketball teams playing this week will face non-conference opponents, beginning with Illinois Springfield's road trip to Oakland City Monday night. Two days separate that contest from Indianapolis playing host to IU-Kokomo Thursday evening before two others hit the court Friday night. One of those teams is Southern Indiana, which will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to face two UPR teams Friday and Saturday. Maryville will be joining the Screaming Eagles down south for two similar games Saturday and Sunday.

League teams had a good weekend, going 5-1 overall with Saturday wins by McKendree and Southern Indiana as well as wins on Sunday by No. 4 Bellarmine, Illinois Springfield and Maryville. Bellarmine extended its undefeated season to 9-0 with its 68-61 win downs south, thanks in large part to Sarah Galvin's 16 points and 11 rebounds. UIS got the in-region victory over Trevecca Nazarene that was spearheaded by Destiny Ramsey's and Shelbi Patterson's 15-point performances. In addition, USI's Hannah Wascher nearly reached the 30-point plateau, scoring 29 and adding 11 rebounds. Teammate Kaydie Grooms was right there with her, contributing 28 points of her own.
