GLVC women's basketball returns to the courts this week, beginning with Quincy hosting a non-conference game Tuesday evening. Wednesday finds five more league teams competing out of the GLVC, while cross-town rivals William Jewell and Rockhurst will face off that night in Kansas City. A lone non-league matchup is set at UW-Parkside on Thursday, and a mixture of non-GLVC and GLVC contests are on the docket for Saturday and Sunday.

Wednesday was not a good day for ranked GLVC teams, as both No. 11 Drury and No. 18 Lewis were upset by unranked, non-conference opponents. McKendree, on the other hand, crushed its visitors, 73-29, and set an NCAA single-game record by not committing a personal foul in the 40 minutes of action. Rockhurst also enjoyed a league win against visiting William Jewell, 70-61, as Mary Dineen led the Hawks and all scorers with 23 points and added five assists with as many rebounds. Elsewhere, Southern Indiana and Missouri S&T picked up non-league wins at home.
