Three others earn All-Midwest Region accolades

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Drury University senior forward Hailey Diestelkamp has been named the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Women's Basketball Midwest Region Player of the Year in a vote conducted by the region's sports information directors, while three other All-GLVC picks earned All-region honors.

Diestelkamp, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year, is on the first team for the second year in a row after averaging 21.2 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals per game, and shoot .537 from the field. This season, she became the first player in team history to surpass 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, and Diestelkamp's 2,321 career points led all active players in Division II at the end of the year

The three other league honorees were voted to the Second Team, including two-time regional honoree in Maryville senior guard Mary Barton, Lewis University senior forward Rachel Hinders, and Lindenwood University senior forward Kallie Bildner.

Diestelkamp now advances to the national ballot for All-America and Player of the Year consideration.
