2014 GLVC Baseball Championship Tournament

The 2014 Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Championship will be held at Bosse Field and the University of Southern Indiana Field in Evansville, Ind., on May 8-11, 2014.  The tournament will mark the 35th GLVC Baseball Championship and the second straight year the event has been held at historic Bosse Field.

In all, Bosse Field will host GLVC Baseball Championship games each of the four days and a total of nine of the 14 contests, with the remaining five being played at USI Field on the campus of Southern Indiana over the first two days.

Eight teams will vie for the 2014 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the conference at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Those eight teams will consist of the top two teams from the East Division, the top three teams from the West Division and three wild card teams.

Last season, Bellarmine claimed its third GLVC Championship in program history with a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Drury.  The Knights, seeded sixth in the 2013 postseason event, are believed to be the highest seed to ever win the GLVC Baseball Championship as conference records indicate that the previous mark was held by Quincy, which held the No. 5 seed en route to the 2000 GLVC title.

 
Lewis holds the league mark for most titles won with six and the Flyers are one of 11 different schools to have claimed a championship in baseball, which also include Indianapolis (5), Saint Joseph's (5), Southern Indiana (4), Bellarmine (3), Quincy (2), Drury (1), Missouri-St. Louis (1), and UW-Parkside (1), as well as former conference members Northern Kentucky (5) and SIU Edwardsville (2).

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children, while kids 5-and-under are free.  Tickets will be available at those prices from Thursday through Saturday, while Sunday's tickets will dip to $8 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for children.  The GLVC is offering an All-Tournament pass for $35.
