2015 GLVC Baseball Championship Tournament
Hosted by 400-acre Grand Park
The 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Championship Tournament will be held at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, May 7-10. The tournament will mark the 36th GLVC Baseball Championship and the first year it will be held at the newly-constructed Grand Park, having opened its "doors" for competition just one year ago. Two synthetic turf surfaces at Grand Park will host GLVC Baseball Championship games each of the four days.
Eight teams will vie for the 2015 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the conference at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Those eight teams will consist of the top two teams from the East Division, the top three teams from the West Division and three wild card teams.
Last season, #2 Drury claimed its second GLVC Championship in program history with a 2-1 victory over #4 Quincy on the shoulders of DU's Kevin Sweeney, who pitched a four-hit complete game.
Lewis holds the league mark for most titles won with six and the Flyers are one of 11 different schools to have claimed a championship in baseball, which also include Indianapolis (5), Saint Joseph's (5), Southern Indiana (4), Bellarmine (4), Quincy (2), Drury (2), Missouri-St. Louis (1), and UW-Parkside (1), as well as former conference members Northern Kentucky (5) and SIU Edwardsville (2).
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children, while kids 5-and-under are free. Tickets will be available at those prices from Thursday through Saturday, while Sunday's tickets will dip to $8 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for children. The GLVC is offering an All-Tournament pass for $35.
