2016 GLVC Baseball Championship Tournament

The 2016 Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Championship Tournament will be held at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, May 12-15. The tournament will mark the 37th GLVC Baseball Championship and the second year it will be held at Grand Park.  This year's event will be held on Grand Park's D-3 synthetic turf field, with four tournament games in three of the first four days.

Eight teams will vie for the 2016 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the conference at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Those eight teams will consist of the top four teams from the East Division and the top four teams from the West Division.

Last season, #7 Drury claimed its third GLVC Championship in program history with a 7-2 victory over #1 Quincy. As the No. 7 seed in the eight-team bracket, Drury became the highest seed to ever win the GLVC Championship, besting the previous mark set by sixth-seeded Bellarmine in 2013, which coincidently came against Drury in its first of three straight title game appearances.

 
Lewis holds the league mark for most titles won with six and the Flyers are one of 11 different schools to have claimed a championship in baseball, which also include Indianapolis (5), Saint Joseph's (5), Southern Indiana (4), Bellarmine (4), Drury (3), Quincy (2), Missouri-St. Louis (1), and UW-Parkside (1), as well as former conference members Northern Kentucky (5) and SIU Edwardsville (2).

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children, while kids 5-and-under are free.  Tickets will be available at those prices from Thursday through Saturday, while Sunday's tickets will dip to $8 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for children.  The GLVC is offering an All-Tournament pass for $35.
