2011 Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held at Frank Petretti Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Feb. 25-26. It marks the second consecutive year the event will be hosted by UW-Parkside. 2011 marks the 12th annual GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championship.
The Frank Petretti Fieldhouse is the newest addition to the Sports and Activity Center.The Fieldhouse features three full size basketball courts, which can easily convert to layouts comprised of four tennis courts, six volleyball courts, six badminton courts, or a combination of each. The court area is surrounded by a high-grade 200-meter indoor track (six lanes) allowing it to capably host indoor track and field meets.
In 2010, Indianapolis claimed the school's first GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championship. The Greyhounds are now one of four schools to have registered an indoor title. UIndy joins Lewis (1), Missouri S&T (1) and SIU Edwardsville (4) as previous champions.
Lewis won its second GLVC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship in 2010. The Flyers are one of just three programs to have claimed women's titles in Indoor Track & Field. They join Indianapolis (1) and SIU Edwardsville (5).
